Amazon Echo has been in the States for a while now. But it’s finally making its way across the pond along with a new product – Amazon Echo Dot.
Amazon Echo is a hands-free, voice controlled speaker with seven microphones to hear you from across the room.
Amazon Echo is powered by Alexa, your virtual assistant. She can answer questions, play music, check the traffic and even book an Uber.
“Millions across the US have already fallen in love with Alexa. And, predictably, she’s even more likeable with a British accent,” said Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder and CEO. “We’re delighted to be bringing Echo and Alexa to the UK.”
Amazon has also announced a new product – Amazon Echo Dot.
Echo Dot has almost the same functionality as echo but is much smaller. It’s designed to be connected directly to speakers to add automation to your home audio system or can be used independently with its small, built-in speaker.
Amazon Echo will be released on 28th September and will cost £149.99. Echo Dot will be released on 20th October at £49.99. Both are available to pre-order now.
